Drug Abuse

Prevention and Education

YPU places a strong emphasis on prevention and education programs aimed at young people in Uganda. Through workshops, seminars, and community outreach, we strive to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse. We provide information on the risks associated with various substances and promote healthy lifestyle choices.

Youth-Centered Approach

YPU understands that young people are particularly vulnerable to drug abuse. Therefore, we tailor our programs to engage and empower youth in meaningful ways. We encourage them to become advocates for positive change in their communities and equip them with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about substance use.

Counseling and Support Services

YPU offers counseling and support services to individuals and families affected by drug abuse. We provide a safe and non-judgmental environment where individuals can seek help, receive guidance, and access resources for recovery and rehabilitation.

Advocacy and Policy Influence

YPU actively engages in advocacy efforts to influence policy and legislation related to drug abuse. We work with government agencies, lawmakers, and other stakeholders to promote evidence-based policies that prioritize prevention, treatment, and harm reduction.

Youth Empowerment

YPU believes in the power of young people to bring about positive change. We empower youth to take leadership roles in anti-drug campaigns and community initiatives, giving them a sense of ownership in the fight against drug abuse.
